Article Submission = Recession Buster?

I finally got around to trying some article submissions. I’m really lazy though so I didn’t want to work very hard doing it. So, I had someone else do it for me! 
I had two unique articles written. Both articles were around 400 words. Nothing special, they read a lot like a book report. Then I had those articles rewritten 3 times each (more on that later).
I used some article submission software called Artemis Pro. It sends your article to 1000’s of publishers that then can choose to use your article or not. If they do, your resource box with a link is used as well.
These links, if done enough, can bring lots of traffic which means more money. I’ve heard from more than one Internet marketer that articles are their number one traffic source.
I never really bought the whole deal myself. Seems like a lot of junk info getting spread all over the place wouldn’t get you much and who wants to actually write tons of articles themselves to make sure they are not junk? NOT ME!!!
So, I never really did much with article marketing. But just as a test I tried it. I actually had forgotten about the articles being submitted well over a month ago. Then today when I was checking my server stats I noticed some odd referrer links. I went to the links and found my articles!
After running all the stats I found that the articles were doing about $100 a day in sales for me! Not a ton of money but it definitely made me wake up!
I only submitted two articles (actually 6, because Artemis Pro, spins your articles into 3 unique versions each from the 3 versions you have written of each article) and have made an average of $102 a day! Since the traffic was nearly free and the articles were cheap, it’s nearly 100% profit!
Hard to complain about an extra $3000 a month from two little articles. That makes my car payment at least!
So here’s the plan:
1. Submit more articles using Artemis Pro.
2. Submit more articles using Artemis Pro.
3. Cash more checks.
4. Surf more.

Matt,
This is a great post on the power of article marketing. I am just getting started in my online marketing career and am really blown away at the level of knowledge you and your team bring to the table. Can you send me via email the link to the service that wrote your articles for you? I just started to use and learn your Hexatrack system as well to search for keywords for my videos. I will be upgrading to the pro edition as soon as I can.

There are tons of services out there. Just Google “article writing service” and you’ll find tons. I get mine done from writers on Elance. It’s not the cheapest route but the quality is higher.

That’s a heck of a return from so few articles Matt – what were you doing with the traffic coming from them? CPA, affiliate, own product?

And there’s the real lesson for everyone then Matt – article marketing REALLY pays off when you’re driving traffic to your own products. I think you just killed Bum Marketing in one.

Matt,
I recently started looking into article submission software, so your post really got my attention. I clicked on the link for Artemis pro, but I didn’t find much in the way of helpful information on the site. Basically there are a couple of testimonials and an order button.
I only know from your post that you had some success using this software. Do you know how it stacks up against the other stuff out there? Or why it’s supposedly better?
Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated!

Don’t underestimate the power of this software.
The advantage with using Artemis Pro over other submission software is that you’re submitting to EZINES, not article directories.
Article directories (with the exception of EzineArticles and maybe ArticleCity and GoArticles) are generally a waste of time if you’re expecting visitors, because almost of all of them don’t receive very many visitors in the first place.
But Ezines already have ‘traffic’ in the form of SUBSCRIBERS – so if an ezine publisher decides to use your article, people ARE going to see it – which increases the chances of you getting traffic to your site and making sales.
The only 2 article submission software apps I knew that did this were Article Announcer ($379) and Artemis Pro ($105) so big thanks should go out to Matt for making this available for free.
Although, the cynic in my wonders how many people will actually download and use AP now that it’s free? Hmm …
