Thanks to my buddy Mike Koenigs (Traffic Geyser dude) I finally can throw the stupid Snowball mic (by Blue Mics) in the trash!
I don’t even want to sell it or give it away…it’s that much of a piece of crap. Don’t buy one…ever.
I have yearned for a good quality USB mic for doing podcasts and videos for a long time. Finally I got a great recommendation from Mike about the Samson C01U.
It’s freakin’ killer AND cheaper than the really horrible Snowball! I definitely recommend this mic. Make sure you get it with the podcast kit that includes a cool stand, cable, and software. Killer deal at only $150.

Matt, absolutely confirm about the Samson C01U. I got it after I couldn’t get hold of the USB mike recommended by Mike Stewart and man, am I glad I did. Great piece of kit, and it just looks so cool (even with a pop filter stuck in front!)
