One Minute Niche Research?

Yes you really can do market niche research in one minute!
It used to take me about 15 minutes to research a market by hand. But my buddy Mike Koenigs (the big brain behind Traffic Geyser) gave me the idea to turn my techniques into a tool.

So I spent like a day to code the thing and test it and it works! Best of all, it’s free to all who want to use it!

I decided to call it “Niche Goggles” which is really just a derivative of a name of another tool coming out soon from my buddies at Hexatrack. That tool will rock your world when you see and it will ALSO BE FREE! Stay tuned.

All you have to do is optin below and you will be directed to the install page for the Niche Goggles. Enjoy!

Hello Matt,

Could you share a little about Niche Goggles and what we should look for in each bar graph and for a good final score…not exactly sure what P-score stands for also….so any hints would be helpful.

Thanks for this tool, looking forward to putting it to good use.

Linus Rylander August 30, 2008 at 11:59 am

Awesome tool, but like CJ above… what the hell is P-Score?

Linus

Bo August 30, 2008 at 2:15 pm

Hey Matt,

Thank you very much for this tool.

BTW – What does the P-Score in the tool’s results mean?

tmobil8 September 2, 2008 at 9:44 am

Nice Matt, Thomas here saying thanks for the split second marketing tool, keep up the good work!!

Knilles September 2, 2008 at 9:47 am

So where is the video?

Nicholas Newport September 2, 2008 at 9:51 am

Fantastic! What are the equations you’re using to calculate these figures?

Omarra Byrd September 2, 2008 at 10:08 am

I downloaded this thing about a month ago and I’m where CJ, Linus Rylander & Bo are. What the hell does the P-Score mean?

By the way Google Goggles are working great!

Nicholas Newport September 2, 2008 at 10:21 am

Could you remove the restriction on the number of keywords? There are some cases where it really is valuable to have more than two words, for instance when you want a subnich such as “los angeles real estate” or “metal free dentistry”

Scrilla September 2, 2008 at 10:25 am

My guess would be that p-score = profitability score

Knilles September 2, 2008 at 10:29 am

Matt, where can I watch the video?

I downloaded the Niche Goggles 3 days ago, do I have to download the software again to also get the video?

Nicholas Newport September 2, 2008 at 10:30 am

Ah, gotcha! In that case I might suggest putting links to hexatrack and google goggles directly in the niche goggles and label them as ‘step 2′ and ‘step 3′.

Matt Trainer September 2, 2008 at 10:33 am

Watch the video. I talk about the P-score there.

Nicholas: I’m trying to force people to think more broad. If you can’t get the niche you are researching into 2 keywords or less then you aren’t thinking about it the right way.

Here’s the process:
1. Research a market with Niche Goggles
2. Dig deeper and get competitive intelligence with Hexatrack
3. Build your landing pages based on data from the Goggle Goggles

Hey Matt,

I love the Niche Goggles and can’t believe that you are giving it away for free to everyone. Very cool of you…

One thing I would like you to please consider modifying would be if you could add a third word limit.

The two word limit is pretty narrow and limits the ability of the tool but I do understand why you did this.

Just something to think about…

Matt;

I downloaded this thing a while back when you sent it, but had to take if off my computer because it was slowing it down, LOL, also I didn’t know what I was supposed to do with it, sorry. ;-)

Tom September 3, 2008 at 5:32 am

Very cool Matt!

I too would like to see it have a three word limit. This is a huge plus in determining smaller niche markets.

Thanks again!!

One question Matt: Where the hell do I find the niche goggles video at so that I can get an explanation of the p-score?

Matt, Just wanted to drop a line and let you guys know, how much I appreciate you guys putting together the Google Goggle software. It has dramatically increased my business and saved me alot of time and money testing keywrods and ads and so on.

Love Google Goggles and it works great! I know your Niche Goggles is in its beta stage, however I keep getting a “Data Failure” message. I have my firewall off and all my spyware protection software disabled and I keep getting the same Message, Do You have any suggestions? I would love to take advantage of this great tool you guys have put together.

Thanks

Great Job Matt!

Very useful program for the beginner.

Kelly February 17, 2009 at 7:07 am

This does not work – it keeps timing out. I’ve tried it over 30 times with no results. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

Matt Trainer February 17, 2009 at 11:19 am

Sorry everyone. The Niche Goggles are down until I get the API settings updated. Google changed their API last week and I haven’t had a chance to get it updated with Frank Kern’s Mass Control launch going on. It’s on my todo list! I’ll email everyone when it’s ready. Sorry for the trouble.

Dave February 19, 2009 at 6:18 am

I was thrilled to see a product like this even tho I already bought Goggle Goggles.

I could not for the life of me figure out why it was not working even after shutting down the anti-virus etc.

Now I know Thanks for the heads up Matt.

Have a great day

Dave

Corey February 22, 2009 at 12:51 pm

Hey Matt,

I just wanted to check in. Is the Google API thing affecting both Niche Goggles and Google Goggles?

Thanks for the heads up.

Corey

Edit from Matt:
No the Google Goggles use a different system.

Jeff February 26, 2009 at 11:10 pm

Ahh…Now I don’t feel like a complete dipshit either :)

Thanks so much for these. I am still trying to get off the ground here..Goggles is really interesting but I’m still not quite sure how to use the info I have got from it!! Slow learner, perhaps..just not very comfortable with computers. Will get there eventually, thanks for the boost on the way.

Bill Hartzer June 30, 2009 at 2:54 pm

Just started looking at Google Goggles, which certainly is an interesting tool. Makes it easier to figure out niche marketing and target certain niches to really make the money you want.

Strange this post is totaly unrelated to what I was searching google for, but it was listed on the first page. I guess your doing something right if Google likes you enough to put you on the first page of a non related search.
